"Kiss and makeup--but too much makeup has ruined many a kiss."- Mae West
As little girls in Brownies and Girl Scouts, we were taught to always be prepared, whether it was for accidentally bruising our knees on camping trips or losing our way on the trails. Although the unpredictable situations have graduated to running into a cute boy at the mall and getting called for a job interview on short notice, the need to be ready for anything has remained mutual. Thus, we stuff the whole of Pennywise into our oversized-handbags with everything from white eyeliner to WetOnes and wonder why we suffer from back pains and strains. The solution to these problems is simple: a cute makeup bag filled with only the following daily must-haves, no matter the occasion or destination.
Yours in nail polish and nude lips,

1. Mirrored Compact- You may be tempted to lug along your foundation and concealer but pressed powder is lightweight and effective enough for quick touch ups while you're out and about. The mirror is useful for applying pretty much everything, without the added bulk of a seperate one. Talk about killing two birds with one stone!

2. Lipgloss/Lipstick- If you're going out to lunch, chances are that by th end of your meal there'll be more lipcolour on your glass and fork than on your lips. Keep your lippie of the day with you to re-gloss afterward. For those planning to stay out from morning till night, two colours are suggested; nudes and corals for daytime errands, and reds and pinks for hitting Skyy and Space.

3. Mascara- The illusion of longer, darker, fuller lashes makes all eye colours pop instantly after only two swotches. Perfect for getting the hott waiter at TGI's to notice you!
Favoured by Many: CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara Personal Favourite: Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara
4. Blush/ Bronzer- As teens, blush isn't really a necessity as our hectic daily schedules help us to naturally achieve that rosy flush without the fuss. Bronzer on the other hand, is essential for countouring, highlighting and getting that sunkissed- glow; transforming our faces from Heidi-climbing-mountains to Heidi Klum.

5. Eyeshadow palette/ Eyeliner- In the case of emergency meetings, functions or even dates, grabbing you favourite eyeshadow palette to go is always a good idea.

6. Makeup remover pads- After a few shots of Blu Vodka, there's usually a plesant hum to your senses which can turn a bathroom powder-break into an episode of Ace of Cakes. With our present state of mind and Vodka-heavy hand, anything that can go wrong, will. These are ideal for all our makeup mishaps, any time anywhere.

7. Mositurizer- For those days you spend sitting on the sand at Maracas and lounging poolise at Harry's, keeping your face mositurized is a must. Replenish your skin regularly with all the nutrients that the scorching Caribbean sun takes out. Make sure it has at least SPF 30 to protect you against sun burn, wrinkles and those harmful UV rays.
Favoured by Many: Cetaphil Personal Favourite: Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer
8. Lipbalm- The current wave dries up everything from the ground to our lips. Smoothing on balm regularly to keeps lips moisturized, delicious-smelling and ultimately, kissable.
Favoured by Many: ChapStick in Cherry Personal Favourite: ChapStick in Cherry
9. Blotting papers- For those new to the world of coverup and concealer, these babies may seem like small squares of grease-proof paper, often used to wrap local fast foods. However, watch as they make the oil on our T-zone disappear, faster than a Debe doubles.
